PhD Scholar of English, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore
My name is Rajat Sebastian and I am currently enrolled as a PhD Research Scholar of English at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore. As a researcher, my main area of focus is English travel writings with special references to the travel writings of Brazillian author Paulo Coelho. After graduating from De Paul Institute of Science and Technology in BA English Literature, Communication and Journalism, I completed my post-graduation from CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore in MA English with Cultural Studies.
I was able to work as an English Trainer in Christ Raj High School Kuttipuzha teaching students the basics of English Grammar. I also interned with The New Indian Express at Kochi writing news articles and practising photojournalism. Apart from academics and writing, I am interested in photography, graphic designing, ethical hacking and web development, making myself to be a technophile.
Runner-up in the tagline writing contest organized by the National Human Rights Commission of India (NHRC)
Awarded with the second prize of Rs. 15,000 and a certificate for the tagline writing contest organized by the National Human Rights Commission of India (NHRC). The competition was conducted online as a part of the commission's silver jubilee celebrations. My winning entry was selected by the commission as its official tagline.
